Welcome to Bear Wang's Space
I am a programmer from HangZhou China with over five years of experience in blockchain programming. Throughout these years, I have developed several self-hosted sites similar to this one. However, none have lasted more than two years, primarily due to a lack of patience and motivation to write. I launched this site on the last day of 2023, and one of my New Year's resolutions is to maintain this site and continue writing consistently. Let's see what the future holds.
- I tied the knot in 2023, which holds great significance for me.
- I am a strong advocate for asynchronous communication within the team.
- As a programmer, I don't fit the stereotype of a "nerd coder" who dives into numerous amazing technical tricks. While I do enjoy them, I wouldn't say I'm overly passionate about it.
- I take my commitments seriously and ensure I complete any task I've promised to deliver or advance. I prefer not to be rushed, as I typically complete tasks well ahead of their deadlines. This is one of the reasons why I prefer working remotely.
- My preferred programming languages are Rust and Go. I appreciate the safety assurances that Rust offers and the simple design philosophy behind Go.
- The programming language I least enjoy is JavaScript; its chaotic design often leaves me frustrated.
- My native language is Mandarin. I can communicate effortlessly with native English speakers, though I find Indian English slightly challenging. This linguistic ability is a source of pride for me.
- I am an enthusiastic supporter of Liverpool FC; their matches have brought me countless joyous weekends over the years.
- I lead a disciplined life, adhering to a routine that includes waking up, working, leisure, and sleep, a schedule I've followed for many years.
- I don't enjoy coding too late into the night, even though I’m aware that some programmers find their muse in the wee hours.
- To keep my mind sharp, I swim twice a week, covering a distance of 1km each time, and I run 3km weekly. This routine has proven to be very beneficial.
